KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has acquired Janzhoff Aufzüge GmbH, a German company providing elevators as well as maintenance and modernization services. Founded in 1945, Janzhoff Aufzüge is based in Dortmund and was previously owned by the Kapp family. The company currently has 2400 elevators in service and employs approximately 100 people.

"With this acquisition we expect to strengthen our position in the region. It brings a customer base which offers new opportunities in maintenance, modernization and new installations."
