2018 China Brand Evaluation Press Conference was held in Shanghai on May 9, under the guidance of State Administration for Market Regulation, carried out by the China Council for Brand Development, National Economy Daily and CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade).
This brand evaluation covers three main industries in China, and a total of 1346 companies participated in the evaluation with 718 brands released. It is the first time that the brand evaluation independently released the ranking of brand value for the elevator industry.
KONE, with brand value of 8.971 billion RMB, ranks top 1 in the elevator industry in China. KONE has a good performance in quality, technology innovation, marketing service, social responsibility and brand influence with the potential for the future sustainable income.
This evaluation process has taken 10 months with 3 runs of filtering. They released officially that they evaluate the brand value by broad survey, international code and standard, national standards and experts’ review and assessment.
The State Council approves to set up May 10 as “China Branding Day”, to encourage the companies to enhance the brand image and pay special attention to cultivation of branding. The China Council for Brand Development is started up by MFPRC (Ministry of Finance, PRC), MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC), AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), CCPIT and CCTV (China Central Television). It is the only one association handling the branding construction related activities under the State Council.
